How to Create Segments in ClickFunnels

New to ClickFunnels 2.0? Wondering how to create segments from your contacts? We’ve written this guide to help.

Published Categorized as Apps & How-to's

Not all contacts in your ClickFunnels 2.0 account are created equal. Some will be potential customers who’ve opted in but haven’t bought from you just yet. Others will have bought one of your products, but not another. A select few will have viewed a step in a funnel, but not taken any action.

In ClickFunnels 2.0, you can create segments of contacts based on a number of criteria, such as the products they’ve purchased, the courses they’re enrolled in, the funnel steps they’ve viewed, and others.

Creating a New Segment in ClickFunnels

Follow the steps in the guide below to create a new segment in ClickFunnels 2.0.

Step 1: Fire up your browser, go to myclickfunnels.com, and sign into your ClickFunnels 2.0 account.

Step 2: Open your site’s workspace, then navigate to the “Contacts” from the left sidebar.

Step 3: Now go to the “Segments” tab.

Step 4: Click on the “Add new segment” button.

Step 5: Name your segment. You can set any name you want — this is for your and your team’s use only, and customers won’t see it.

Step 6: Click on the blue “+ Create filter” button.

Step 7: Set your segment’s filter rules.

Step 8 (Optional): To add a second rule to your list and filter for contacts for whom both rules are true — in other words, Rule 1 AND Rule 2 — click on the blue “+ AND” button.

Step 9 (Optional): To add a second rule to your list and filter for contacts for whom either of the rules is true — in other words, Rule 1 OR Rule 2 — click on the blue “+ OR” button.

Step 10: When you’re done, click on the “Create segment” button.

Congrats!

You’ve just created your first segment of contacts in ClickFunnels! Try sending that segment a marketing email by including them in a broadcast.
